These are the values that guide and binds us together;

• Courage and determination: We overcome personal and societal challenges to create lasting impact, believing that if one’s community is going to get better the youths, the women, and the girls must act and act now.
• Compassion: we cross boundaries to understand other’s perspectives, needs and priorities, believing in the inherent worth of others, and acting to include others in sustainable solutions to make our communities a better place for youths, women and girls and all.
• Sustainable actions: We adhere on the slogan that ‘actions speak louder than words’. Therefore, we engage and invest in actions which will have sustainable impact.
• Collaboration: We move with others to create lasting change, believing in one’s ability inclusively to make a difference, and working with others to solve problems without violence and respecting do-no-harm  principle
• Unity and joint action: ‘If you want to go fast, move alone but if you want to go far, move with others’. At YADEF, we want to go far – therefore, we value the power of unity in action because it helps us much as a group to achieve more than we could ever achieve individually put together. Therefore, together we develop sustainably.
• Accountability and transparency: Both to our affected communities, our donors and all our stakeholders. We are transparent in communication and action.
• Tolerance: We tolerate the behaviours and respect the identities and perspectives of others while focusing more on how we can make them better.
• Transparency and good governance: we do not do things in the dark neither do we work in the dark. Our work and impact is a reflective mirror of who we are. We are governed by policies that bind us together and not individual ideologies of particular leaders. We lead by action, manage by practice and our engagement with staff, volunteers and communities promotes human development and makes them always wanting to give even more than they can offer. We do the right things to get the right results. We use resources as planned to achieve results.  When we impact, we share the results and keep our track record of everything. All these makes us unique – we are a power house for youth development and women empowerment in Cameroon.
• Focus and solidarity: we focus on issues that matter most to girls, women and youths. We question the status-quo and ask tough questions. We demand for a change in the rules of the game; those rules and policies that keep poor people poor
• Hope: No matter the current situation, as human beings we have the inherent power to make a change and a difference. But while hoping, we take actions to ignite change.
• Reflection: Everything we do or actions we make have an impact on the world around us including our natural environment and future generation. So, will the future generation look back on our actions with happiness and gratitude or with disappointment and anger? It’s never too late to change for the good. We are a mirror for others to reference and our actions is an incentive for others to join us in shaping the world for the good of Humanity.
