Research and Community Development

In today’s world, decisions are data driven. At YADEF, we conducte social research and fact findings about impediments and dynamics which distort the smooth functioning, development and advancement of societies. Diagnosing community challenges using a scientific approach to better identify, respond and provide sustainable solutions and also recommend good social policies for community development.

We make use of data to better provide sustainable solution to community challenges. Carrying out community assessments, data collection, need assessments together with target communities themselves to better understand the dynamics of community challenges and design unique methodologies to respond.

We mobilize communities (inclusive of all persons) to discuss and get the voices of the rural people and their development priorities for life enhancement.

Our social research diagnoses community challenges and problems in some of the following areas;

WASH – Water Sanitation and Hygiene
Food Security
Inequalities and gender based violence
Housing, Land and Property rights of women, girls and vulnerable persons
Road crashes and safe mobility
Climate change; environmental hazards (preparedness, response methodology and green communities) – we also initiate sustainable climate smart solutions to build sustainability and resilience of our ecosystems. We also dig deep on Disaster Risk Identification, communication and Community Engagement

Poverty
Hunger

First of its kind youth focused, youth managed, women led and youth founded development foundation in Cameroon.

We make use of our expertise to go miles away in securing a better future for women, girls and youths in underdeveloped communities.

If one’s community is going to get better the youths, the women, the girls must act and act NOW.

To change the world, educate the world – but this change must start now.

The system of education we need in Cameroon today is one in which pupils and students should be able to articulate ideas and choose trajectories for life enhancement.

Leveraging ICT for personal and professional development should be first priority for rural youths.

Being educated today is beyond going to school but being able to leverage ICT for life enhancement.

If change must come, us the youths must act and act NOW – Change starts now.

“See something say something” – Break the silence to ignite change in ending GBV.

Quality Education is the key solution for change, for peace, and for help in the fight against poverty, racism and discrimination in general.

Access to opportunities is determine by quality of education received.

Education is fundamental for a positive and humane transition into the future and for development that is sustainable.

If you want to empower society, empower the girl child.

Poverty is the worst enemy of mankind; if eradicated, life will be better but if not, the society soles a seed for its own implosion.

The number of climate displaced people will increase globally in the coming years – countries must act NOW to better protect the #RightToEducation from the impact of climate change and environmental uncertainties.

Poor quality of education will affect the lives of young people in this decade and the next - which is why we are mobilizing actions, committing resources and bringing youths up to speed bringing their dreams and actions to life.
